Collagen

Collagen tailored
to modern formulations

Three levels of technology. One source.

We offer Jellice type I marine collagen peptides, from standard collagen hydrolysates to advanced solutions with a high collagen tripeptide content.

Our portfolio covers three levels of sophistication – from classic collagen peptides, through raw materials naturally enriched in tripeptides, to the highly concentrated Collameta™.

Raw material Source Collagen type Molecular weight Tripeptide content Manufacturer Country of origin
Jellicol® CP-FC2 marine type I approx. 2000-4000 Da — Jellice Taiwan
CollaTP® marine type I approx. 1300 Da >15% Jellice Taiwan
Collameta™ marine type I approx. 500 Da >50% Jellice Taiwan

Jellicol® CP-FC2

Jellicol® CP-FC2 is a hydrolysed marine collagen peptide for use in dietary supplements, functional food and other formulations where high protein content, a neutral sensory profile and good solubility matter.

Jellice collagen is hydrolysed, which breaks the collagen structure down into smaller peptides. As a result, the raw material does not gel like gelatine and can be used in a wide variety of product formats.

  • type I marine collagen
  • over 90% protein
  • light yellow to white powder
  • good solubility in cold water
  • neutral taste and odour
  • non-gelling
  • suitable for powder and liquid formulations

Jellicol® can be used as a source of protein and amino acids in dietary supplements and food products – including beverages, powders and other formulations that need an easily soluble collagen peptide.

CollaTP®

CollaTP® is a low-molecular-weight type I marine collagen peptide with an average molecular weight of approx. 1300 Da, naturally enriched to more than 15% collagen tripeptides.

Combining a low molecular weight with an increased content of the characteristic Gly-X-Y tripeptide sequences creates a raw material designed not only to supply amino acids, but also to harness the bioactive potential of collagen peptides.

Tripeptides are short sequences made up of three amino acids. In collagen, the characteristic Gly-X-Y pattern reflects the structure of its chain. The presence of short peptides such as Pro-Hyp, Hyp-Gly and Gly-Pro-Hyp is one of the things that set advanced collagen hydrolysates apart from standard collagen sources.

CollaTP® is well suited to dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, beauty-from-within products, functional beverages and powders, especially where a relatively low molecular weight combined with an increased tripeptide content is important.

Collameta™

Collameta™ is an advanced type I marine collagen peptide with a low molecular weight of approx. 500 Da and a collagen tripeptide content above 50%. Such a high tripeptide concentration sets Collameta™ apart from standard collagen hydrolysates and makes it possible to design formulations with a high concentration of active peptide sequences using a small amount of raw material.

Biological signals – more than a building material

Not all collagen simply supplies building blocks to cells. Well-designed collagen peptides can also act as biological signals, interacting with cells and influencing their activity. In this way they can support natural processes related to the extracellular matrix, including fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis.

High concentration, flexible formulation options

A low molecular weight of ~500 Da combined with more than 50% tripeptides allows compact formulations in which a high peptide concentration is key, especially where a low dose, a compact product format and a high concentration of collagen peptides matter. Collameta™ is designed for advanced nutricosmetic and nutraceutical formulations and for supplements targeting skin, joints and connective tissue – including shots, capsules, sachets, powders and gummies.
