Our colostrum is sourced from high-quality colostrum from the Netherlands and processed by Bionatin, an experienced colostrum manufacturer. The product is freeze-dried, i.e. dried at low temperature and reduced pressure. This method limits the impact of high temperature on the natural protein components of the raw material.
We offer four basic colostrum variants that differ in their declared content of immunoglobulin G (IgG) in total protein: 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%.
When comparing colostrum specifications from different manufacturers, pay close attention to how the parameters are presented. The IgG percentage alone is not always directly comparable, because manufacturers may use different reference bases.
In particular, check:
1. What does the declared immunoglobulin value mean?
Does the manufacturer state the content of IgG or of total immunoglobulins (Ig)? These are different parameters and should not be treated as equivalent.
2. What is the IgG content related to?
The value may be expressed as a percentage of:
- the total mass of the product (“as is”),
- dry matter,
- or total protein content.
A declaration such as “30% IgG” alone is therefore not enough to compare two products properly. You need to check the basis to which the result refers.
For our products, the IgG content is stated transparently, with a clearly indicated reference basis, allowing correct interpretation of the parameters and a real comparison of the different product variants.
Where a specification does not state what the declared IgG content refers to, this value should be verified directly with the manufacturer before making a comparison. Without information on the reference basis, the IgG percentage alone can lead to wrong conclusions about the actual immunoglobulin content of the product.
